The Pays d'Auray Ecomuseum takes you back in time to the daily life of Breton farmers between 1850 and 1950.

The Pays d'Auray Ecomuseum invites you to discover the daily life of Breton farmers from 1850 to 1950. The oven, the well, the barn, the sheds, the shoe-maker's house and the interiors of farmhouses, with their typical half-closed beds and everyday objects, are on the menu for this immersion in peasant life, punctuated by the baking of bread, the pressing of apples and the making of butter. The village is criss-crossed by footpaths, while a permanent exhibition features paintings by Lucien Pouedras, bearing witness to a bygone era.

Low season: open Monday to Friday, 2pm to 5pm. High season: Monday to Friday, 10am to 7pm; weekends, 2pm to 7pm. Low season zone B: open weekdays from 10am to 5pm; closed on weekends and public holidays. Free for children under 3 (under 4). Adults: €6. Children (aged 4 to 14): €3. Family package 2 parents and 3 or more children: €18. Rates for guided tours: 1h/1 adult/8.50€ and 170€/20 adults minimum. Half-day activities: 11€/1 adult and 220€/20 adults minimum. Première visite depuis 3 ans et demi que je vis dans le coin. J'ai profité du Festival de la pomme pour venir découvrir St Degan. C'est un lieu plein de charme qui mérite le détour ! Les bâtiments sont bien conservés , et, à l'intérieur, on retrouve le mobilier tel qu'il était à la fin du 19e siècle , ce qui m'a rappelé la maison dans laquelle vivait ma grand-mère. Le matériel agricole est trèsintéressant. Certaines pieces m'ont rappelé mon grand-père. Bref, des bons souvenirs !

Super freundliche Mitarbeiter und Beschreibung sogar auf deutsch. Man sollte sich aber die nötige Zeit gönnen und alles auf sich wirken lassen. Nicht gepflegt wie ein Park, ist so vielleicht authentischer.
