In this den, you will not lack advice and explanations on unique beer and food pairings. Alain, a zythologist (beer expert), offers a wide selection of beers from various origins. From Brittany to Belgium, through Europe and the USA. There is something for everyone, from the most classic to the most unusual. Let yourself be tempted by the Sacred Heart 8 from La Débauche with apricot and bergamot or the Coffee To Go from Maltgarden. Beer lovers will also find beers with chili pepper, coconut or others aged in rum barrels. To taste these finds in a friendly atmosphere, go to Alain's bar, Le Sur-Mesure, at 18 rue de Robien.

La boutique Chez Alain est un lieu où les passionnés de la bière comme les amateurs de houblon trouveront chaussures à leurs pieds. Sous les conseils avisés des professionnels de la cave, vous naviguerez par delà les moult bières provenant de nombreux pays qui vous raviront les papilles que vous aimiez l’amertume, l'acidité ou la complexité florale de saisons goûteuse. Le choix des bières se renouvelle sans cesse, si bien qu'on peut toujours s'attendre à une nouveauté en se rendant Chez Alain.

Trois ans et jamais déçu par le service proposé par la cave, je ne peux que vous recommander ce lieu pour vos futures dégustations.

Ever open!

Chez Alain you will find very good beer. Alain can be good advice, also of the moment when he decided to open his shop! It has been 5 times that I move in Rennes in order to go to find some good beers, and 3 times that the shop was not open during the opening hours (those displayed on the door and its site facebook). It really is a shame because the shop is quite nice when you can get there!
