LA CONTRESCARPE

Club

This stylish night bar is hidden in an old residence in the square of Champ-Jacquet. The framework is truly splendid: We celebrate or dance under stone vaults that give the basement a medieval vault air. The boss renovated this xivth century anti-atomic shelter to bring him to his taste, more lounge, during the summer of 2011. Once the steps leading to the "Against" are taken, we enter a paradise for night birds. And everything is done to have fun. Two floors, atmospheres, corners, but mostly the party: this night bar organizes evenings regularly, inviting even regularly known Djs in the circuit, especially during the Transmusicals. There are also several counters and a dynamic team. The public is quite young, even more so when trade schools invest places for their parties. You can also privatize one of the many rooms of this underground labyrinth! With its inventiveness in punches and cocktails, the Contrescarpe assures you not to die of thirst (even if the zinc is crowded, especially the weekend), and the team can surprise you and renew the beverages regularly. A classic to visit absolutely. And then come and enjoy the funny Contrescarpe evenings and surprises during Valentine's Day, Halloween, New Year…

LE DELICATESSEN

Club
2.5/5
10 reviews

The Delicatessen has been for years a mythical place of the Rennes night. Housed under the stone arcades that housed the famous Saint Michel prison in the 15th century, it is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful nightclubs in the region. The clientele is eclectic while maintaining a certain standing and the student parties warm up the night. The arrival at the top of the entrance steps can sometimes resemble a fashion show. The interior mixes exposed stone and a pure decoration tinted red and purple. R'n'b, electro... trendy music, for a company that is just as trendy. To be discovered, if only for the place, which at the time of the prison was connected to the night bar La Contrescarpe... hence the resemblance of the two places. To find out who the DJs are at each party, go on Facebook.

Located on the boulevard de la Tour d'Auvergne, L'Espace is the largest club in Rennes and offers theme evenings and student parties. It's a mainstream club, with two theatres. The Big Club for fans of house, techno and electro and the Little Club for fans of old rock, disco and pop hits from the 80s and 90s. There's the "iron bar", the cage... anything to let your body go for hours. Its big advantage is that it's just a few minutes walk from downtown, so you won't need to take the car! Careful, on Thursday nights, the place is packed... Please note, L'Espace can be rented for private parties.

Closed - Open to 09h00

This former cinema of the sixties has metamorphosed into a select club for young active Rennes residents. The decoration is classic with a baroque tendency. Colours black, silver, parma, this adult nightclub has tried its hand at chic. Playlist level: no techno, no house or rap, but a lot of hits, from today or yesterday... The main dance floor measures 100 m2. Upstairs, it is in shades of pink, black and silver, with a luminous runway that you will wiggle your hips and in a private space, to rent on reservation. Anyone can get in, provided they are properly dressed. Visit their website to find out about their events: salsa, disco or rock'n'roll evenings. The place also offers to meet for special afterworks.

L’AVENTURE

Club
1.5/5

This night bar is located in the former Saint-Michel prison. To get in, you'll need to be patient, as the place is very popular on weekends. Proper attire is required, and you'll be ready to discover the place in an atmosphere that's warm and relaxed, a meeting place for the young and not-so-young, who sway together on the small dance floor. For regulars of this thirty-year-old club, the decor remains baroque despite a few changes, with its varied sofas, its little nooks and crannies, its slightly recessed bar, its giant mirrors, statues and light effects... The formula hasn't changed, with house cocktails and hits from past and present: that's why we go here. You'll even find yourself singing along to the choruses of songs by Dalida, Gainsbourg and Brassens, not forgetting up-and-comers such as Bénabar and Cali, even if the bulk of the program is devoted to the timeless 80s. On weekdays, the atmosphere is quieter and more conducive to chatting with friends. For dancing and laughter.

SATORI

Club

Located between the station and the TNB in a narrow alleyway, the new Satori nightclub - formerly the Gatsby - has two rooms and a capacity of around 350. The dance floor stands out with a superb ceiling of dynamic neon lights. The music has also evolved, taking on different notes depending on the evening: house, techno, or 80s... The audience is also more eclectic depending on the events organized. Follow the program on our networks. Good to know: on Thursdays and Fridays, entry is free for girls before 1am. The venue can also be privatized on certain evenings for cocktail parties.

LE BATCHI

Club

This legendary gay club in Brittany's capital has been around since the 1980s. Not far from Rennes' M.U.R., dedicated to street-art, its entrance goes almost unnoticed by day. By night, it opens its doors to anyone determined to party. With its small dance floor and music that's both pop and electro, Le Batchi is a gay-friendly space open to all, whatever their sexual orientation. Even if the place is a well-known pick-up spot in the gay community, the admission policy is not sectarian: you're sure to meet friendly people and colorful characters to end your evenings in style!
