Restaurant offering good couscous with various meats, vegetables and traditional Moroccan bread.
Sitting in the main room of this restaurant, which counts several, we settle in a room with typical decoration: tent, large tables and objets items that remind us of our last trip to Morocco. A Marrakech air that is well present. Noradine, the master of the places is there to welcome us and here we are in a great conversation about the country. Then the map arrives and between couscous, tajines and grills, we end up choosing. It will be a good couscous. And it comes with a plethora of dishes. It is well smoked with semolina, vegetables, assorted meats and traditional Moroccan bread. One wonders if you're going to get everything to eat the quantity served. After a few bites, we travel and share memories and good humour. The couscous gives us joy because it's good. A small rosé wine from Morocco accompanies our culinary journey: it is nice and the trip is there. A beautiful address that deserves a regular visit, both conviviality and taste are at the meeting. And then the Berber canvas is the guaranteed exoticism! There is tea in mint and the evening has already envolée! For a moment full of flavours… A wonderful Moroccan restaurant. And if you come into a group, the place is ideal with its three rooms. In addition, you can prepare for a méchoui, couscous or even paella. A restaurant very often rewarded by many awards.
J'ai voulu réserver dans ce restaurant pour 15 personnes aujourd'hui 22/02/2024. Donc j'ai contacté par téléphone le restaurateur pour réserver/me renseigner . Il me dit qu'il y des menus pour les groupes de plus de 10 personnes. OK. Je lui demande donc si on peut voir ces menus ... Il me répond en cliquant sur les liens via Tripadvisor ou Google de façon abrupte... mais le lien http://www.restaurant-oriental-marrakech.fr/ renvoie vers "site inconnu" :-(
ou en regardant sur les photos présentes sur tripadvisor ... Nada, pas de menus non plus. Je lui fais alors la remarque et là, il m'envoie paître :-( Sympa comme accueil. Bon, c'est sur, je n'irai pas chez un caractériel ! Il pourrait au moins avoir l'indécence de vérifier ses propos et d'être plus aimable !
J'étais étonné des commentaires. Mais je confirme totalement les dires. Exécrable a souhait même si on reste digne et aimable. Dialogue impossible même si l'on reste courtois.
C'est dommage que l'expérience fût a ce point gâché par un comportement honteux et déplacé.
Le lieu gagnerai énormément avec une service aimable. Et un cuisinier qui reste a ses fourneaux pour insulter ses casseroles plutôt que ses clients qui le font vivre.
Bref c'est dommage car les serveurs y sont agréables et se sont excusés.
Je recommande à 100%.
Quantité qualité au rendez-vous.
