This flamboyant gothic style basilica has a rood screen made of Kersanton stone, one of the most beautiful in France

A masterpiece of flamboyant Gothic style, the Folgoët basilica was built between the 14thand 15th centuries. It celebrated its six hundredth anniversary in 2023. After many ups and downs, it was bought back in 1810 by parishioners, who returned it to worship. Its Kersanton stone rood screen is one of the finest in France. Its porch, featuring the apostles, reveals the virtuosity of local sculptors. Inside, you can admire stained-glass windows created by great master glassmakers.

Magnifique et imposante Basilique "Notre Dame du Folgoet" avec ces dépendances à noter derrière celle ci une curieuse fontaine attenante qui dit-on prend sa source sous l'autel de la basilique et serait magique.
