Monastery in a peaceful and green setting with a guesthouse for a time of retreat or renewal
At the mouth of the Aulne River, in a peaceful and green setting overlooking the harbor of Brest, this monastery was founded at the end of the5th century. The current abbey, of modern architecture, was built between 1950 and 1965 by the Benedictines of Kebeneat who perpetuate a presence of over 15 centuries. The monastery houses a community of 18 monks and has a guesthouse for those who wish to spend a few days to a week of retreat, silence and renewal. Guests have access to the library and the silence of the park.
