The two passionate oyster farmers produce here oysters, both hollow and flat, of an exceptional quality, full of the tonic freshness of the sea, whose virtues are concentrated in them! CLAUDE THOMAS

Cider grower

To say that Claude's cider is a very ancient cider from tradition is to make a journey over time and go to meet his grandfather. This grandfather who passed the fiber cidricole to the whole family. One likes to imagine the picturesque images where, in the years 1930-1940, he was going to deliver his cider to the city, to the merchants, but above all to the sailors of Concarneau who harvest for the fishing campaigns. At the time, delivery was made in 220 liter barrels. Since then, in the family, the relay is going on naturally. There was Claude's dad and here was Claude who took over the torch in 1986 to complete the farm-farming activity. Here you find a cider like you love "in juice." Claude, who did not wish to modernize his facilities, proposes a very traditional product, a dry cider, very sweet, "a cider of connoisseurs", tells the elders. The cider is open every day of the year for direct sale where you will also discover apple juice, cider vinegar, cider jelly, knob and lambig (cider brandy). In case, you will also have the opportunity to find Claude on the Forest-Fouesnant market on Sunday morning from Easter to mid September or at the night market on Tuesday, in Port la Forêt, in July and August.

CIDRE DE KERANTEREC

Cider grower

Originally from Morbihan, Jean Jaffré, a farmer, does not marry a daughter of the country but a daughter of Finistère! Belle dote, feel smiling among connoisseurs! Rightly so. Then, Jean then inherits land by sea and created a cider at the Forest-Fouesnant. A man of passion, he is one of those who will give much of their time to the Cidricole and Recherche Research and Development Committee (CIDREF) in order to list local cidricoles varieties to obtain the controlled appellation of origin "Cornwall cider". For three generations, the Jaffré family has been exploiting its approximately three hectares of orchard to produce the cider of Keranterec. Today, the cider was picked up by her son Guy and his wife Claude who develops his cider in the rules of paternal tradition. Although AOC is no longer on the agenda, cider is always good and noticed in the regional competitions (Fouesnant). Located next to the campsite, the workshop is ideally located just steps from the beach. A small glass of cider, raw or half-dry, or apple juice after bathing? Without hesitation!
