The story says that with the remains of his bread, and a lump of butter, a douarnenist baker created the first Kouign Aman. The fattiest cake of France then finds its roots some kilometres away from this biscuit factory, in the Douarnenez city centre. But for a matter of space, this shop is located at the way out of Kerlaz, the neighbouring village. You will find there, of course, the famous Kouign Amann, but also the other specialties of the region like pancakes, the pound cake or the farz. The greatest part of the shop is also devoted to the porcelain from Quimper, with one of the most beautiful panels of the region.

we were on holiday with douarnenez the biscuit factory made more has memory than biscuits when y' has, and when we return in the shop the welcome is cold pas de hello and smiling and when you are at the till you are a ghost to pay right. and no goodbye.
