In Joigny, set in a 2-hectare park with a rose garden and 2 ponds, Le Rive Gauche is one of the city's institutions. In addition to its 42 comfortable rooms, don't miss the restaurant run by chef Jérôme Joubert, who trained with Georges Blanc, Dijon's Stéphane Derbord and at neighboring La Côte Saint-Jacques. During our visit, we loved the astonishing snail clafoutis with Chaource vegetables from Maison Leroux. As for the wine list, essentially made up of Burgundy vintages, it's also well worth the detour. Highly recommended!
