Bed and breakfast located close to Auxerre offering a very nice stopover.

In the 80s and 90s, this superb building was home to a very popular gastronomic restaurant, "La Chamaille". Now known as "La Barbotière", this former farmhouse now offers two guest rooms: the "Chablis" and the "Coulanges". In addition to its garden and its pond where ducks and geese have taken up residence, the oldest part of the building is a rectangular tower dating from the end of the 16th century, which now houses a cosy library. The rooms are located in two outbuildings dating from the 19th century. A very nice stopover just a stone's throw from Auxerre.

Closed from mid-January to mid-March (except during the Saint-Vincent du Chablisien festival in early February). 2 rooms. Double room €135. Breakfast included (served in the dining room or on the terrace between 8 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.). Additional bed: €25. Decreasing rate according to number of nights. 2 nights: €120/night. 3 nights and more: €110/night. Free Internet connection. Wifi. Cleaning service.

Accueil très chaleureux dans ce petit cocon au cours d’un week-end champêtre. Nous avons pu nous détendre loin de la ville et goûter au charme de la Bourgogne. Merci pour les pertinents conseils ! À refaire !

Nestled in the French countryside. La Barbotière is a peaceful oasis. The rooms were spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. Bruno and his wife were wonderful hosts. The breakfasts were wonderful, especially the home made croissants. Bruno gave us great advice about restaurants, and sights to see.
