Every summer evening, Saint-Etienne Cathedral is the historical setting for the Grandes Heures d'Auxerre. From Roman Gaul to the present day, with an emphasis on some emblematic characters, such as Joan of Arc or Napoleon, and supported by anecdotal facts, the history of the city is told to visitors, often tourists, but also Auxerre residents who are passionate about the memories of their city.
