A cultural complex worth a visit in Abeokuta. A large, well-appointed space with a museum, bookshop, zoo, squash courts and even a small artificial lake for boating.
The large white building houses the Olusegun Obasanjo Museum. The exhibition is of a very high quality, with a curation not often seen in Nigeria. It retraces the life and career of the eponymous president (1976-79; 1999-2007), respected military leader and architect of the return to democracy.
