Alake Palace
The compound houses the old XIXᵉ century palace, the new and current residence of the Alake (king), the mosque and a large amphitheater that comes alive especially in April during the Lisabi festival, warrior who freed his people from Oyo domination. The tour continues with a visit to the Egba Museum: it's not an incredible place in itself, but with a guide like Kemi, you can better understand the history of the Egba kingdom. A treaty signed with the British in the XIXᵉ century recognized their independence before they attached their territory to the protectorate of Nigeria.
