Gambian Adama Jatta heads the Violence Against Girls association, which fights for women's rights in Gambia. At this center, housed in a picturesque historic building, she trains women in batik, dyeing and weaving. Classes are also given to tourists wishing to learn the techniques, whose income benefits the association. There are also three basic rooms, one with a beautiful view of the river. The food is excellent - Adama is a great cook!
