TOWADA ART CENTER

The Towada Art Center has a clear ambition: to awaken creativity through contemporary art. Born of the Arts Towada project launched in 2008 to revitalize the once neglected Kanchogai Street, the center has become the lung of a city reinventing itself culturally. With a permanent collection of 41 works by 36 international artists, including Yoko Ono and Yayoi Kusama, the center impresses. Kanchogai Avenue, transformed into an open-air museum, makes Towada a nationally recognized art destination. A must for art lovers.
