KANEHIRANARI-EN
Completed in 1902, the Kanehiranari-en garden, also known as Sawanari-en, is a fine example of the Ōishibugakuryū landscape style , typical of the Tsugaru region. Commissioned in 1882 by Katō Uhei to master gardener Takahashi Teizan, the project was taken up by his disciples after his death. This refined style, born at the end of the Edo period, combines aesthetics and philosophy, and remains a precious heritage of the northern Archipelago. For its historical and artistic interest, the garden has been recognized as a place of picturesque beauty.
