Zhangjiajiexi (Zhangjiajie West) station, as monumental as any of China's newer stations, is the main station for high-speed trains. It is about a 30-minute drive from Zhangjiajie National Park. It is connected to Changsha (3h), Furong (20 minutes) and other major cities (Hong Kong, 6h30). Buses and cabs are available at the exit. Ticket sales open 15 days in advance, and online reservations are recommended. There is no metro, but local buses provide a link to the city.
