BARCLAYS PARK
This park on the north east coast overlooks Cattlewash Beach. A superb vantage point, very popular with Barbadian families. In the shade of the casuarinas, there are several tables inviting you to enjoy a picnic. If you feel like getting moving, you can either head down to the beach for a stroll, or start the hike to Chalky Mount, which begins at the Barclays Park parking lot. Fun fact: the park owes its name to Barclays Bank, which donated it to Barbados on the occasion of its independence in 1966. It was inaugurated by Queen Elizabeth II.
