South of Coyhaique, in the Aysén region, lies the almost 1,800 km2 Parque Nacional Cerro Castillo. This particularly well-preserved reserve is a fantastic playground for hiking enthusiasts. The 51 km Las Horquetas circuit, for example, takes hikers to two peaks and glaciers. The park is populated by wildlife, including pumas, guanacos and condors.
