These small villages are located along the Rapti River, on the edge of Chitwan National Park, but on the other side from Sauraha, which is a 1-hour drive away. A few old lodges and some new luxury addresses here offer an exclusivity that Sauraha doesn't, especially for safaris. There are only a handful of lodges on this side of the park, spread out along the river to offer beautiful views. We come here on an all-inclusive basis: all meals and 2 activities per day (2 days/3 nights, for example). There are no elephant safaris here - for ethical reasons, these high-end eco-resorts no longer offer them.
