MONUMENT DE LA LIGUE DES COMMUNISTES DE MACÉDOINE

Set on a hill above Oteševo, this elegantly curved monument (Споменик за Преспанското Советување на ЦК на КПМ) was erected in 1973 to designs by Jordan Grabuloski, whose work includes the Makedonium in Kruševo. It commemorates a communist resistance meeting held here clandestinely from August 2 to 4, 1943. Made of reinforced concrete and 9 m high, the monument is in poor condition. However, it offers fine views over the lake.
