GROTTE DI ZUNGRI

The rocky cliff bordering Zungri was occupied in the Middle Ages by a community that dug and built dozens of rock dwellings of varying shapes and sizes. This site, which covers an area of about 3,000^{square meters}, is unique in Calabria. It has not yet been studied in depth and its origins remain partly mysterious. It can be discovered through a bucolic path, sometimes a little steep, which also offers beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. At the entrance of the site, there is a small museum of the rural life in Calabria.
