It is the last small village before the Lower Zambezi NP, about 15 km from the Chongwe River, which marks the boundary of the park as it flows into the Zambezi. Between the two: a dozen lodges have set up their luxury eco-camps on the banks of the Zambezi. These lodges are an excellent compromise to the lodges located in the park where the conservation fee per night is high. They are a little less expensive for the same standard of accommodation. As with the lodges inside the park, they can be reached either by plane (Jeki) or by road to Chirundu by car, then by boat on the Zambezi, or by 4x4 via Chiawa along very chaotic roads that are impassable after the rainy season.
