SENGUKAN
Located in the Geku area, this museum is the ideal destination to better understand the tradition of the reconstruction of the Ise sanctuary-jingū, the Shikinen Sengu, a tradition perpetuated for 1,300 years now. The present shrine was rebuilt in 2013, during the 62nd Shikinen Sengu ceremony. The museum is very informative and offers the public the opportunity to learn more about the different techniques used and the tools. There is also a 1/20th scale model of the Geku buildings and a life-size replica of the Goshoden.
