Located on the northwestern edge of Saskatchewan, on the shores of Lake Athabasca, this provincial park is a complete departure from the landscapes we are used to in the north. Here the sand dunes seem to stretch on forever, stretching for about 100 kilometers along the lake and reaching heights of 30 metres in some places. The park is divided into three zones, each with its own rules for camping and activities. It is accessible only by floatplane and is intended for self-sufficient adventurers, with no on-site services. However, some outfitters offer guided packages.
