Park rich in lakes, high mountain pastures, native flora and fauna in Perloz.
Less well known than the other parks in the Aosta Valley, the Mont Mars Nature Reserve, rich in lakes and high mountain pastures, occupies the massif between the Lys Valley and the Biella Valley (in Piedmont). The morphology of the territory, shaped by ancient glaciers, has created a unique environment, where a succession of terraces occupied by lakes or peat bogs form the upper reaches of the valleys. Rich in indigenous flora and fauna, the park is crossed by the High RoadNo. 1 and is home to alpine refuges, including Coda and Barma.
