RANDO COL DE CRÊTE-SÈCHE

From the hamlet of Lessert, turn left up to the hamlet of Rus. Take route 2 to the pass, which leads to alpe Primo and alpe Berrier. Just before this mountain pasture, at the point where the path joins the dirt road again, about 200 m from the houses, take itinerary 2 on the left, and climb up to the Crête-Sèche refuge. From here, continuing down the valley, you reach Plan de la Sabla and then the pass. Breathtaking views over the Swiss Valais. A former cigarette smuggling route until the middle of the last century.
