DYSTOS LAKE

Lake Dystos is an oasis of biodiversity that is home to countless plant and animal species. Although it has dried up several times in its history, the lake and surrounding marshes have managed to remain afloat in recent years. Its size is impressive and covers an area of more than 7,500 ^m2, it is a refuge for migratory birds in spring and an important biotope for a number of plants and animals. That is why it has the Natura 2000 label from Europe.
