It seems that in the Maldives there is intense competition between luxury hotel groups to get a piece of paradise. The Raffles group, which now belongs to the French group Accor, is no exception to the rule. It has inherited a tiny 200 x 160 metre island perched on a partially submerged lagoon in the Gaafu Alifu atoll. The villas on stilts are the originality of this island.
