Lost at the far end of the Maldives on the most remote atoll, the large and beautiful island of Villingili forms a long green setting with 2 kilometers of golden beaches, themselves encircled by an emerald lagoon. The island, undoubtedly one of the largest in the Maldives, is home to a natural environment with huge banyan trees, thousands of coconut palms and even small hiking trails that travellers are invited to explore. The highest point in the Maldives peaks here at 5.1 meters! It is frequented by a majority of Chinese, and there is a divine calm. The resort that occupied it has ceased operations for the time being.
