Coconuco is located south of Puracé Park, at an altitude of 2,600 meters. There are pools built around natural hot springs, containing sulfur, that will revive you. Don't expect elegant spas. Agua Tibia ("Warm Water") is on private property, where you can take mud baths. Agua Hirviendo ("Boiling Water") is on indigenous communal land, the water is hotter, boiling in places. It is crowded on weekends, but not during the week
