SLAVE HISTORY MUSEUM
A modest but high-quality museum that traces the life of a slave from capture to integration into American society once the slave trade was abolished and the slaves freed. Various objects, photos and even a sound and light show! Once you've got past the museum's electricity problems, you'll also appreciate the last rooms on Nigerian arts and culture, from the Nok civilization to that of Benin. Various objects linked to the daily life of the slave trade are on display, as well as Nigerian and Western figures of slavery and abolition.
