Set at the top of the hill with a breathtaking view of the river, the cemetery is home to the graves of the settlers of the time, of which Mary Slessor, who died in 1915, is by far the most imposing. Here you follow in the footsteps of Queen Elizabeth II, who laid a wreath of flowers on Mr. Slessor's grave when she visited in 1956, a photo of which can be seen in the National Museum. Now completely abandoned and overgrown, the site retains an old-fashioned charm.
