Located on the top of the hill with an unobstructed view of the river, the cemetery houses the tombs of settlers and high dignitaries of the time, of which Mary Slessor, who died in 1915, is by far the most imposing. You are following in the footsteps of Queen Elizabeth II, who came to lay a wreath on Mr. Slessor's grave on his visit in 1956, a picture of which can be seen at the National Museum. Now completely abandoned and eaten by vegetation, the place retains an outdated charm. A guard who lives nearby has the key, ask.
