The gallery's surroundings are most pleasing, with a green corridor leading to a beautiful café area overlooking the Lagos Inland Sea. This is in fact the former residence of Ben Enwonwu, a renowned Nigerian sculptor. The gallery is run by Oliver Enwonwu, head of the Ben Enwonwu Foundation, which promotes the late artist's art. The gallery's two rooms are modest, housed in a private home that regularly hosts temporary exhibitions, both Nigerian and foreign.
