The New Afrika Shrine, located in Ikeja, perpetuates the legacy of Afrobeat and its creator Fela Kuti. A cultural and festive mecca, in July 2018 it welcomed a high-profile visit from French President Emmanuel Macron, proof of its international renown. Femi Kuti performs here every Thursday and Sunday, while Seun Kuti takes to the stage on the last Saturday of the month when he's in town. Festive and popular, the club combines music, heritage and social openness.
