Alara, which means "everything is possible" in Yoruba, reflects this ambition in its monumental architecture designed by Ghanaian David Adjaye. Founded in 2015 by Reni Folawiyo, this concept store combines haute couture, art and lifestyle in a unique setting. Saint Laurent, Valentino and Louboutin creations are on display, along with jewelry, perfumes and objects from Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa. The beating heart of Fashion Week, Alara attracts the crème de la crème of international fashion every year, and has become a symbol of Lagos chic.
