Bonneville Dam is one of the oldest projects in the region (1937). You will find documents on the history of dam construction and navigation on the Columbia River at Bradford Island Visitor Center. At the time of migration (April-October), we can see, by the windows under the surface of the water, the salmon go back to the fish ladders.
