Mohonk Mountain House is not quite an ordinary establishment. To begin with, those who wish to stay there cannot simply book a room for the night: you must buy a package giving access, in addition to the night, to two or three meals and the many facilities offered by this gigantic resort. Sports lessons, swimming pool, skiing, boating, fishing, hiking, ice rink, and all kinds of activities (to discover on the online calendar), it is not only a good night's sleep that this establishment offers you, it is a real experience. Everything is done so that we do not feel the need to leave the resort, which will be very difficult to walk around. Nature is omnipresent and the estate includes a lake and a forest. When it was founded in 1869, Mohonk Mountain House was a small family inn founded by the Smiley brothers. Over the years, the establishment of ten chambers has grown to 259 today. Important personalities have stayed there, including John D. Rockefeller and Bill Clinton.
