Those who wish to experience a night or two in a hypnotic setting can anchor in the small village of Atins, located by the sea, between the mouth of the Rio Preguiças and the Parc des Grandes Lençóis. This tiny fishing community consists of a pair of sand tracks that serve as a street, along which are installed the few dwellings of the residents. There are two shops selling fruit and drinks as well as a handful of pousadas recently opened and you can practice kitesurfing and horse riding.The best is still to organize this escapade from Barreirinhas, from where we will reach Atins in 1 hour by jeep.
