YORK COUNTY HISTORY CENTER
This institution provides access to several museums and historic buildings in downtown York. The Historical Society Museum, housed in a former concession built in 1921, is the heart of the museum, with exhibitions on the city's history. The Museum of Agriculture and Industry, which is located in a former factory, extends over two floors and will give you information on the industrial and agricultural history of the city, with objects sometimes centenary. The Colonial Complex includes four historic buildings (including the tavern and the General's House) that you can discover as part of a 50-minute guided tour that will give you a good overview of local life in the 18th century. Finally, in the Fire Museum, located in the barracks built in 1903, you will admire period objects and equipment. An excellent historical overview of York.
