NEW CULTURE STUDIO
Built in 1967 by architect Demas Nwoko, the New Culture Studio was intended to promote the Nigerian performing arts, combining theater, dance, music and visual arts in a setting inspired by local traditions. Abandoned for many years, the space has now been brought back to life by a collective of artists who organize exhibitions, performances, screenings and workshops. The creative and committed spirit of the place has remained intact. Its vast lawn also offers a pleasant setting for picnics or relaxation, with a beautiful view over Ibadan.
