Built in 1910, Irefin Palace belongs to the royal Irefin clan of Ibadan. Now crushed by urbanization, it is still inhabited by its descendants. Its pointed, carved wooden structure, typical of Yoruba architecture, and its tin roof are almost invisible. Don't hesitate to push open the gates and ask for a tour: if you're lucky, Baba Irefin, the oldest descendant, will tell you (in Yoruba) about the palace's festivals and stories. If you visit, remember to leave a contribution to the community.
