MOSTRA LA GRAN VERA

The ravages of the Great War in the region have left scars in the mountains of the Dolomites, located on the strategic border between Italy and Austria. Vias ferratas, fortifications and underground tunnels are the scars. This small, unpretentious museum retraces the history of this early 20th century war. It has managed to amass a fine collection of objects from the soldiers' daily lives: uniforms, weapons, letters. The history is illuminated by didactic explanatory panels which punctuate the exhibition.
