Shin-an was built in 1929 by Ogi Rodo, a renowned architect in the field of sukiya, a style of Japanese residential architecture. It was then relocated to Daisen Park in 1980, on the occasion of the opening of the museum. It is registered as a Tangible Cultural Property of Japan. It is possible to enjoy a matcha tea and its confectionery (¥300) to immerse oneself in the tea culture, dear to the city of Sakai, with the great master Sen no Rikyu.
