ELLIS COUNTY MUSEUM

This small museum, which recounts the history and development of Ellis County through the display of antique artifacts, also houses the Waxahachie Heritage Visitor Center. It is located in the building that housed the former Waxahachie Masonic Lodge, erected in 1889, a fine example of the Victorian Italianate style, a popular movement in the United States in the second half of the ^19th century.
