120 km from Puerto Arista and Tonalá towards Tapachula, a deviation from Pijijiapan guides you in this beautiful bocage to arrive at the pier. Here you take a boat to cross the estuary and go to the sand strip on the other side. It is a beach destination (a little more than others), but it comes mainly to discover its beautiful mangroves, exotic bird sanctuaries and turtles, and to take a boat tour on the boca barra, where the estuary and the ocean mix.
