Things to see and do Al Dur

A local legend would like anyone who touches the Tree of Life to return at least once in his life in Bahrain. We don't know yet if that's true, but the Shajarat al-Hayah releases some magnetism, almost magical. No one knows how this tree has survived for four hundred years, without any apparent source of water. Archeological remains prove that the people of the past were intrigued by this tree, which we do not know very much about. Another theory would like the tree to survive with the humidity of the Arabian Gulf. It is also said that the Tree of Life is the last vestige of the garden of Eden. In all cases, this attraction is an interesting visit to the south of the island. A 500-seat amphitheater and a visitor center opened in 2014.
