TAKEO CITY LIBRARY

Takeo Public Library is one of the most visited libraries in Japan. Renovated in 2013, it welcomed over 800,000 visitors in 2015, a record! Every year, visitors keep pushing the doors of this building. A huge cathedral of wood and glass, it has over 200,000 books, but also a Starbucks and a bookstore. The space has been cleverly designed, creating an atmosphere of relaxation among all the books and hidden corners of the library. Book lovers will be in heaven.
