BAHRAIN BAY
Real estate complex featuring an impressive Four Seasons tower, promising to be a must-see attraction in Manama
Bahrain Bay may not be quite finished yet, but this pharaonic project certainly looks the part. Built on one of the kingdom's largest artificial sandbanks, the complex is intended to showcase the Bahrain of tomorrow. The project is dominated by the impressive Four Seasons tower. However, many construction sites are still underway: only 18% of the site has been completed. The main reason to visit today is, of course, to admire the breathtaking panoramic view over Manama. Ideal for taking a few photos between two visits.
Launched in 2006, Bahrain Bay is a major project estimated at over $2.5 billion. It is set to become an ultramodern business and leisure district, combining luxury residences, hotels, restaurants, offices and waterfront promenades. The development plan is based on a petal-shaped geometry, integrated into the waterfront. Although the 2008 financial crisis and the pandemic slowed construction, the project continues to progress in phases.
Today, despite the delays, Bahrain Bay is already attracting prestigious names, such as the iconic Four Seasons hotel and the trendy restaurants along the promenade. Residential projects such as Waterbay and The Wharf are beginning to take shape, while other infrastructures such as marinas, a shopping mall and cultural spaces are under development. Bahrain Bay embodies the kingdom's ambition to become a regional financial and tourism hub.
