The seat of the state's executive and legislative branches, now the oldest capitol in the United States in Concord
The capitol of New Hampshire is the seat of the state's executive and legislative branches. Built between 1816 and 1819 by the Scottish architect Stuart Park, it is today the oldest capitol in the United States and is in the Greek Revival architectural style. The white granite blocks that make it up were extracted from the Swenson quarry, north of the city. In the entrance hall, you will not fail to admire the hundreds of flags on display in the Hall of Flags.
